Navigation / GPS

3-Axis Compass

Determines the exact geographic direction in motion and in the stationary state, using a gradient-compensating compass module. This enables simple and reliable navigation - including over steep terrain. Compass can get automatically calibrated with the support of GPS data.

Barometric Altimeter

A precise instrument for determining altitude and elevation changes. Atmospheric pressure drops as you gain altitude, allowing the change in elevation to be calculated. To compensate for potential weather impacts that can degrade the accuracy of the barometric altimeter, this sensor can get automatically calibrated with the support of GPS data.

GLONASS

Short for Global Navigation Satellite System, GLONASS is a Russian satellite-based navigation system that works alongside GPS (Global Positioning System) to provide position information to compatible devices. With an additional 24 satellites to utilize, satellite fix can happen up to 20% faster and adding GLONASS to GPS can also help to get better positioning in situations where there is only limited visibility of the sky.

GPS

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system that can tell a user within seconds his/her precise position on the globe. Using GPS you can also get information about your moving direction, speed, altitude, distance to your destination and much more. GPS works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day without any subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS.

TracBack

TracBack is a feature that allows the user to return safely along a travelled path or route without marking dedicated waypoints.

Physiological Measurements

Provides metrics associated with stress, performance as it relates to previous activities and lactate threshold.

Running Dynamics

When paired with HRM-Run monitor, the compatible watches provide feedback on running form by measuring cadence, step length, vertical oscillation and ratio, ground contact time and balance.

Ski / Board Mode

Relive and analyze your skiing day with auto run detection. Measures 3D speed, distance, time, vertical drop, total runs, per run performance, plus ski specific data pages, history of runs and performance data.

Sport / Training Mode

The device provides general sport performance data in real-time such as elapsed time, distance, pace, calories, speed, lap data, ascent/descent and heart rate.

Sup / Rowing Mode

Measure paddle stroke count, stroke rate, distance per stroke to determine efficiency.

Swim Mode

Includes indoor/outdoor swim modes that record stroke count, intervals, distance, pace and time. For pool swimming, also counts lengths, detects stroke type and computes the user’s SWOLF score.

Trail Running Mode

Trail runners get a dedicated activity profile that provides accurate performance data and reliable navigation aids for safe orientation off the beaten track. Specific trail running features like Auto Climb/Run Switch and the Climb Odometer add to the already extensive set of performance data.

Virtual Partner

Virtual Partner training tool allows you to set time, distance or speed goals and then compete against a “virtual running/cycling partner” on your screen.
